Ariche, Phoenician specimen found in Tunisa , in a burial crypt, near the National Museum of Carthage, analysis of his skeletal remains suggest he was 1.7 meters tall (5'6), and of a sturdy build. His estimated age of death, is between 19 - 26.
He was discovered to belong to the mitochondrial haplogroup U5b2cl, which is considered to be an ancient haplogroup, common to the hunter gatherer populations of Europe. It's occurrence is extremely rare in modern populations.
